Fes' old, walled city is very large and hilly with many small, twisting streets and narrow passageways. After finding the Bou Inania medersa (religious school) by latching on to a large tour group, we ventured off on our own and completed one of my goals: Buying a fez in Fes.After getting the fez, we wanted to visit the Musée de Bois (Museum of Wood), but it was getting late. We latched on to another group to guide us out of the city because we had no idea where we were!
Back in the Ville Nouvelle (new part of the city), we enjoyed some chawarma while listening to an outdoor concert. I wanted to wear my fez, but it wouldn't fit properly because my hair was too big.
