Spring Break

The school year is going by so fast, and March is already over! During March, my yearbook staff and I worked on finishing the yearbook and had a great experience taking all the portraits of the staff and students.

After I met with the printers in Casablanca to finalize the cover and place the order for the yearbook, we flew to Egypt for our spring break.

I accidentally saw the pyramids while checking out the view of Cairo and the Nile from a revolving restaurant at the top of the Grand Hyatt Cairo hotel. If you look close enough, they are to the right of the tall building in the center.

Here's a quick highlight of the trip: This is at the temple of Hatshetsup on the west side of the Nile, near the Valley of the Kings. I am sharing some of my drawings with a guard and we are discussing the various heiroglyphs, pharaohs, and gods from the tombs.
I'll post some more photos and I'll have more stories when I return to Marrakech!
