We spent our last day (Friday, June 18) in Marrakech sipping mint tea in the Djemaa el Fna and watching our fellow Marrakchis stroll past.
Paris was our connecting city before flying directly to LAX. I decided to put on my finest clothes to present Gus (a tour guide for children) with an Eiffel Tower statuette:
I said my last goodbyes to Europe and the Zero GMT time zone as I overlooked the city of lights (even though it was daytime) and headed to the hotel to pack up all my belongings (50 kilos/110 lbs.).
We're home for the next 46 days and we hope to see as many family and friends as possible. We will also be picking up Sparky from my niece. If you are itching to look after a socially challenged dog during the 2010-2011 school year, please do not hesitate to contact me. A final option would be to take him with us to Shanghai!*Rough estimate, since I'm jet-lagged.
