10. True or False. If you lived in Marrakech for 10 months and taught students from Kindergarten to 12th grade at the American School of Marrakech, you would miss them terribly and would think about them every day.
***THE ANSWERS***
1. True. We could catch and release these oversized carpenter ants in a jar as they crawled into our apartment looking for food.
There were also these cool, carved trees in our neighborhood and one of them had large ants carved on it.
2. Image B. There is nothing better than getting fresh-squeezed orange juice from the orange juice man 100 yards from your front door.
3. Image A is not in Morocco, but I guess you kinda knew that.
In Morocco, you could see up to 4! In this photo, one guy is driving the scooter, one is sitting on the rear fender, and a third guy is sitting in the front with his legs up and over the rear passengers' legs.
5. Image B shows traffic in Marrakech. I left out pedestrians, tour buses, rollerbladers, food carts, and stray dogs.
6. Where ISN'T there a McDonald's?
A McDonald's & Pizza Hut in Agadir.
7. Both A & B. Some bus stops in Marrakech were clearly marked, but others were discovered just by keeping track of where the bus stopped, or by noticing a group of people waiting.
8. A, B & C. A is a new shopping area in Agdal, south of the medina, B is a photo of a mall taken from the web, and C is one of hundreds (possibly thousands?) of alleys in the medina.
9. False. If you bonked me on the head and knocked me out then woke me up and asked me to determine where I was based on the trees, vines, and flowers I saw, I wouldn't be able to tell you if I was in Lake Forest or Marrakech.
10. True. I guess that's true for all teachers everywhere in the world. But after a week into summer vacation, that feeling fades (I'm just kidding).
